How the Internet Began

How to stay young

  1. Throw out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let your doctor worry about them. That is why you pay them.

  2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

  3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

  4. Enjoy the simple things.

  5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

  6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life (other than God), is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

  7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

  8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

  9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

  10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

  11. ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

  12. If you don't send your e-mail to at least 8 people - who cares?

Money

  1. It can buy a Bed, but not Sleep.

  2. It can buy a Clock, but not Time.

  3. It can buy you a Book, but not Knowledge.

  4. It can buy you a Position, but not Respect.

  5. It can buy you Medicine, but not Health.

  6. It can buy you Blood, but not Life.

  7. It can buy you Sex, but not Love.

So you see, money isn't everything. And it often causes pain and suffering. I tell you all this because I am your Friend.

As a Friend I want to take away your pain and suffering. So send me all your money and I will suffer for you. Cash is fine.

Monitor's Textual Appearance
Are you having a font size {=4} problem?
I have writing this narrative that will explain what your options might be. In general, I can tell you that it is a browser parameter setting problem. The Internet Explorer browser have some font sizes {=3} that are slightly smaller than the same Netscape browser fonts.

The solution is to either 1) decrease the monitor configuration (my recommendation), or 2) to temporary increase either browser's font size {=2} by use of the browser's Menu bar.

The latter is less desirable for two reasons. First, it will distort the presentation of the page's textual presentation, and secondly, you should decrease the font size {=1} after viewing the site. If you choose my recommendation, then read column 2 below.
Top-of-Page Align Here Monitor Configuration

This site is best viewed with a monitor resolution of 800x600. With larger resolutions the font size may require some of our older grads to use their spectacles.

Microsoft provides a free Power Tools utility called QuickRes that will permit you to Quickly change the monitor Resolution. Click Here to download and install. It does work.

This site is designed and tested with the Netscape Browser. The common Internet Explorer browser views these pages as if through a different pair of colored sun glasses.

So, would you please inform me when the site appears to have presentation errors.
     I can't fix it ... if I don't see it. Thanks.

Warning - The "QuickRes" Utility Mentioned above may not be Windows-XP compatiable.
